Places to visit in Argentina:
El Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) is located in the province of San Juan in a rural and desolate area and was declared by the UNESCO as Natural World Heritage.
El Valle de la Luna is a valley that offers a landscape similar to an interplanetary landscape of a length of about 20 km. Main Characteristics of the valley are the fascinating geological formations.
In Argentina you can find more than 30 national parks declared by the UNESCO a Natural World Heritage. Some of the most important parks are among others:
- National Park Talampaya: Located in the northwest of Argentina presents a landscape similar to an interplanetary landscape with fascinating geological formations.
- In the Andean region of the north of the Patagonia we will find Nahuel Huapi's National Park. Its name comes from one of the most important lakes we can find in the park, the Lake Huapi one of the largest lakes with an area of about 560 km2 and which arose from a glacier.
- Los Alerces (The Larches): This park is located in the Patagonian steppe in the proximities of the city Esquel. One of the particularities of this park are the larches, some of them are more than 3000 years old.
- In the National Park Lamin in the Patagonia, bordering the Andes, you will find the volcano "Lamin" of approximately 3.700 meters and that gave name to the park.
- Among many of the tourist attractions of Argentina we will find the National Park Iguazú, declared by the UNESCO as Natural World Heritage because of its biological diversity of the subtropical jungle. In this park, located in the northeast of Argentina you will find one of the greatest natural wonders of the world and biggest waterfalls of South America "the Iguazú falls" and shared by both "Iguazú National Park" in Argentina and "Iguaçu National Park" in Brazil.
- Parque Nacional Los Glaciares (Los Glaciares National Park): located in the province of Santa Cruz in the Patagonia offers a spectacular landscape and the biggest glaciers out of the polar region. As many as parks in Argentina "Los Glaciares National Park" also has been protected by the UNESCO and was declared as Natural World Heritage.
- Tierra de Fuego one of the most famous parks located in the south of Argentina.
