Interesting places to visit in Ireland

In Ireland there are a lot of places of high environmental, ecological and cultural interest to visit. Some of them are:

The Phoenix Park, clear water in Irish, located in Dublin, is one of the largest parks in the world placed in an urban center, even larger than the Central Park in New York. Spectacular is the diversity of its Fauna and Flora. Visitors can observe groups of deer in wildlife. Architectural monuments as the Phoenix and the castle of Ashtown are located within the park.

Killarney National Park with an extension of 100 km2 is the most ancient park in Ireland which has been declared Reservation of the Biosphere by the UNESCO. Home of the red deer and oaks, it is a place with a huge species diversity.

Connemara National Park offers an exuberant nature, full of lakes and places of Celtic beauty. Horseback-riding and hiking are very popular activities to discover emblematic corners of the park. In the park visitors can observe the architecture of the Aughnamure Castle and the Ashford Castle besides the famous lake Lough Corrib.

The Aran Islands located in front of the West coast of Ireland with an extension of 47 km2 offering sceneries of immeasurable beauty and full of traditions.

Murlough National Nature Reserve located at the edge of Dundrum Bay and the Mourne Mountains is Ireland's first natural reserve and an excellent place for walking and bird watching. One of its characteristics are its dunes, where evidence from neolithic times, to the bronze age up to present days can be observed.
