Ireland's people are known for their hospitality and spontaneity. Its celtic origins and spirit with uncountable interesting legends and magic personages are still present today in cultural events. The Irish people are cultural oriented and love their Celtic traditions and also love to move to other countries and explore other cultures.

Some of the most important and interesting cultural events we can find and enjoy in Ireland are:

Immrama, Lismore Festival of Travel Writing in Waterford: This is one of the unique events in the world in its type. It takes place every year in June and it is focused on travel writing presented by different travel writers. Also an antiquarian book fair, book readings and exhibitions take place during the event.

Cork Midsummer Festival: When visiting Ireland during the month in June it will be a good opportunity to visit the Midsummer Festival in the city of Cork with different international and Irish open air theatre representations and music concerts.

AIB Street Performance World Championship: A peculiar event where street artists compete to be the champion of street artist of the world taking place also in June and where international street performances are presented.

Guinness Cork Jazz Festival: In Ireland's Jazz city, Cork, takes place each year one of the most important Jazz festivals in the world being one of the most important cultural events of Ireland. It takes place in October and more than 1.000 musicians perform in concerts and different establishments, clubs and pubs during the whole weekend.
